The Most Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does a typical lawn mowing service cost?

A: It is difficult to estimate how much your lawn will cost to mow, as two homes and their lawns are never the same it depends on, the size of the property and how long since you last had the lawn cut, obstacles/difficulty ect. Our most common size is around $45 - $55 per cut, this includes a professional cut, edges trimmed, paths and driveways blown. Give us a call, and we can attend your home promptly to give you a free, no obligation quote.

Q: How often do I need to have my lawn mowed?

A: Simply put, as often as possible! The more often a lawn is mowed, the less thatch build-up will happen, and the better it will look. For a professional presentation, weekly or fortnightly cuts in summer and every 3-4 weeks in winter keeps your lawn in order. This all depends of course, on how much water and fertiliser it is receiving during the year and where you live. Cooler times are a greater time to take care of other lawn and garden maintenance projects.

A: We recommend fertilising your lawn with a slow release fertiliser, such as Scotts Lawn Builder, 2 - 3 times per year. Scotts also have products with added weed killer or an added wetting agent, which can be beneficial to your lawn. We can do this for you, and usually charge the same price as your regular lawn mowing plus costs.

A: The most effective way is to hand weed the larger and hardier weeds, then poison the small grassier types using Glyphosate, which is very affective, but is not long lasting so it won't damage the soil.
